# V2 Live Release Checklist

Use this checklist for V2 release and all future production releases.

## 1) Preflight

- [ ] Branch is stable and release scope is frozen.
- [ ] Working tree contains only intended release changes.
- [ ] `APP_ENV=production` and `APP_DEBUG=false` in production environment.
- [ ] `APP_VERSION` is configured for release mode:
  - [ ] `auto` (derive from git tag/commit), or
  - [ ] fixed target version (example: `2.0.0`).
- [ ] `CHANGELOG.md` includes all changes under target version.
- [ ] Rollback point prepared (DB backup + previous release tag).

## 2) Build and Deploy

- [ ] Install dependencies in production mode.
- [ ] Run framework optimizations:
  - [ ] `php artisan config:cache`
  - [ ] `php artisan route:cache`
  - [ ] `php artisan view:cache`
- [ ] Create release tag `vX.Y.Z`.
- [ ] Deploy to live servers.

## 3) Post-deploy Verification

- [ ] Admin footer shows correct version value from `APP_VERSION`.
- [ ] Checkout works from cart to order creation.
- [ ] Online payment capture/verification works.
- [ ] Order status workflow works (placed to fulfilled/cancelled paths).
- [ ] Critical reports load without errors.
- [ ] Error logs show no new critical failures.

## 4) Rollback Criteria

Trigger rollback if one or more of these happen and cannot be fixed quickly:

- Checkout or payment flow is broken.
- Order processing is blocked for operations.
- Critical admin reports are unavailable.
- Unacceptable error rate spike after release.
